What Is in the Name?

Read the BOOK in DAY Time

Picture
The BOOK is  the Bible (Biblia = the Book). DAY is the acronym from the full name of Rev. Dr. Daiqing Apollos Yuan (D.A.Y.).
Dr Yuan was born to a Chinese intellectual family. The Last name Yuan 袁 is traceable to 黃帝軒轅氏 in the Chinese legendary history, who is the Man of the Great Ark, the ancestor of all nations; in other words, the biblical Noah.
Daiqing 岱青 means an Evergreen Tree 青松 on Mount Tai/Dai 泰山/岱岳, where the Chinese emperors used to worship Heaven 天, their understanding of God, and where his parents first met. They wanted him to stand high and look far.
Apollos 亚波罗 is a biblical character from the New Testament, a Jew from Alexandria, who was "mighty in the Scriptures," and used the Bible to prove that Jesus is Christ (Acts 18:24-28). Dr Yuan thought that it is a worthy goal of life, ever since he became a Christian. So when he became an US citizen, he added Apollos as his middle name. Thus came the acronym DAY.
We all need the light from above (illumination of the Holy Spirit) to understand the Bible, the most important book for life. Dr Yuan experienced it, and would like to be of assistance to others. Thus you are invited to  "Read the BOOK in DAY Time."
